Chris Minnick is the founder and President of Minnick Web Services (MWS), a Sacramento-based company that works with magazine publishers to maximize their online revenue. MWS has developed Web technologies and strategies for monetizing Web content that have generated millions of dollars of new revenue for publishers and thousands of qualified leads for advertisers.
Prior to starting MWS, Chris studied creative writing, literature, journalism, and film at the University of Michigan and worked in editorial, circulation, and online publishing capacities at newspapers and magazines in Ann Arbor, Detroit, and San Francisco.
Chris has written books and articles on a wide range of Internet-related topics including: e-commerce, e-business, Web design, XML, and application servers. Chris’s monthly newsletter on Web technology and publishing is read by some of the most influential people in online and print publishing. For 8 consecutive years, Chris has been among the elite group of 20 software professionals and industry veterans chosen by Software Development Magazine to be a judge for the Software Development Jolt Product Excellence Awards.
In addition to his work with MWS, Chris runs a small record label, makes wine, contributes to several blogs (including chrisminnick.com), and maintains his ever-growing number of “fun” sites, including CelebrityAgeMachine.com, StickOfButterOnAStick.com, and WebEightPointOh.com.
