“I love dreams, getting lost, putting myself in unfamiliar circumstances, and starting projects without having any idea of how to finish them. Order that emerges from laying down paint and then figuring out where to go, or from meetings of strangers, or from mixing contrasting foods and lighting a fire, is often more beautiful to me than anything that’s carefully planned.”
